We are serious about protecting the data you share with us. We want to exchange data with you efficiently, securely, and as easily as possible. To these ends we have chosen an end to end encryption technology that is very secure and maintains regulatory compliance with
FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority),
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996),
HITECH (Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009),
CFPB (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau of 2010), and
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation within the European Union)

How We Share Data
We offer this encrypted electronic file exchange to help with document preservation, retention, and secure exchange of information. You are solely responsible for any identify theft or other repercussions when you e-mail, text, send pictures or otherwise exchange information to us in an insecure manner. This encrypted, secure Client Portal is our preferred method of electronic data exchange.
If you have any issues with this encrypted Client Portal call us at 303.934.2970 or make an appointment to call so we can help.
Most of our out-of-state clients and the computer savvy choose to access our shared data portal electronically. Not even the vendor can look into our shared file folders as the encryption keys are not stored with the data.
We can now communicate via encrypted e-mails, just send us an e-mail asking for an encrypted e-mail to which you can reply using the safety and privacy of data encryption. This should keep your personal identifying information sitting on an e-mail server somewhere from being probed and scanned.
Both the encrypted portal and e-mail allow us to collect electronic signatures for those who wish to skip the office or in-person visit.
Zoom or Phone meetings
In these times of COVID-19 we can change your traditional appointments to phone or Zoom as we work on your tax and bookkeeping matters.
In the Office or Your Home
We are well on our way to a paperless office. Our computers and data drives are encrypted. If stolen these are unreadable without the encryption software and keys. Multiple backup protocols are in place as insurance against accidental data loss.
Supported browsers are the latest versions of:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari – Version 10 or newer (Private Browsing mode may be problematic)
- Microsoft Edge lacks some password reset & security functionality
Note: Microsoft’s has now retired Internet Browser, and may make using your Client Portal problematic.
Avoid E-mail and Text to Keep Your Data Secure
When you use most “free” e-mail or text platforms, the provider has the right to read your messages and attachments. Please choose a more secure method to share your important and personally identifying information with us so as to avoid one avenue for identity theft.
